The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Antonine University (UA), the ISACA Lebanon Chapter, the IEEE Communications Society Lebanon Chapter, and the UA IEEE Student Branch organized the Open Day for Cybersecurity (ODCS’25) at the UA Baabda campus. Held on April 4, 2025, this national event attracted over 430 professionals, students, and researchers from institutions across Lebanon, creating a vibrant platform for cybersecurity engagement, education, and innovation.
ODCS’25 delivered a compelling program featuring expert panels, live case studies, and in-depth discussions on pressing topics such as AI-powered threat detection, digital governance, ethical hacking, IoT vulnerabilities, and cloud security. The event brought together industry leaders, government representatives, and academic professionals to exchange insights on emerging threats and explore innovative defense strategies.
A key highlight of the day was the Poster Presentation, where senior UA students presented their final-year projects, showcasing practical and forward-thinking solutions in the cybersecurity domain. The event concluded with an Awards Ceremony recognizing the most impactful student contributions—encouraging innovation, critical thinking, and excellence in tackling real-world challenges.
ODCS’25 reaffirmed the importance of strong ties between academia and industry in developing robust, ethical, and adaptive cybersecurity strategies. Through thought-provoking sessions, interactive exchanges, and valuable networking opportunities, participants connected directly with prominent figures in the field — strengthening Lebanon’s commitment to digital security and national resilience.
As cyber threats evolve in complexity, initiatives like ODCS’25 play a vital role in preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and shaping a secure digital future.
