In a significant step toward advancing global knowledge-sharing in telecommunications, the IEEE ComSoc Monterrey Chapter and the IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Lambda-Rho Chapter of Tecnológico de Monterrey hosted a session featuring Dr. Ender Ayanoglu — IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer, IEEE Fellow (1998) — one of the most influential voices in wireless communications.
I completed an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecture Tour (DLT) to China in November, coordinated by the Chengdu Chapter. Overall, the trip was highly rewarding. It provided a wonderful opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with researchers and students at three universities. I had numerous engaging discussions on a wide range of research topics with faculty members, researchers, and students. I also joined campus and laboratory tours, gaining valuable insights into ongoing research activities.
I completed an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecture Tour (DLT) to Mexico and Guatemala in the last week of October and the first week of November 2025. The experience was highly rewarding, offering the opportunity to share my research, exchange ideas for open problems in the area of non-terrestrial networks with faculty members and students, and promote IEEE ComSoc to new audiences across multiple institutions. This tour opened promising avenues for future networking and collaboration with colleagues, enabling new joint research opportunities and student exchange programs.
In 2025, Thailand marked a significant historical milestone in its 150 years of telecommunications development. From the introduction of telegraphy in 1875 to today’s digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and the emerging quantum ICT era, this long trajectory reflects not only technological progress but also changing social priorities, policy frameworks, and national capabilities. To commemorate this sesquicentennial, the #ThaiTelecom150 initiative was organized as a year-long, multidisciplinary program, with active participation from various national partners.
